Certified Customer Service Specialist Certificate Program
The Certified Customer Service Specialist certificate is designed in response to the needs of employers in the rapidly growing service based industries. Business leaders in these industries have identified the need for a high skilled customer service workforce to effectively interact with customers.
Today the customer service representative is an integral player in developing excellent business relationships with customers, clients, patients, consumers and patrons in any organization. Many students recognize this and want to develop, enhance, or upgrade their training to pursue employment as customer service representatives in the workforce.
The goal of the certified customer service specialist is to create profitable customer relationships by delivering superior services, business skills and contact skills to help customers and clients in a competitive marketplace. Further, the Certified Customer Service Specialist will develop professional attitudes and the knowledge required to achieve superior work performance demanded by employers in today's organization. Diversity, technological advances, social and ethical responsibilities, changing customer values, and customer demands are major challenges facing organizations today that are studied, researched and discussed in the class. Students are challenged to learn, link, and apply customer service concepts in their journey to success that will be used in realistic work situations.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Certified Customer Service Specialist students have a variety of jobs to select from in any service or business organization or industry.
ADMISSIONS CRITERIA
- Submit a completed application and application fee;
- Be at least 16 years of age;
- Submit official high school transcript or GED transcript;
- Submit official college transcripts, if applicable;
- Meet the following assessment requirements:

CERTIFIED CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST CURRICULUM
The standard curriculum for the Certified Customer Service Specialist program is designed for the quarter system. The program generally takes 2-3 quarters to complete. To graduate, students must earn a minimum of 15 credit hours.
