Southeastern Technical College Seeking Full-time Instructors

VIDALIA CAMPUS

POSITION: ACCOUNTING INSTRUCTOR

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is a 12-month position which requires teaching responsibilities for credit courses within the Accounting diploma and degree programs. Instructor must be able to work a flexible schedule and handle administrative responsibilities related to program management including student advisement and program development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:
A master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Accounting or a closely related degree with 18 graduate semester hours or equivalent in Accounting is required.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE:
The applicant must possess a minimum of three (3) years of full-time in field work experience within the immediate seven (7) years preceding application for employment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
The applicant must have good interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills. Must possess and maintain professional credentials, if appropriate.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
Prior teaching experience preferably at the post-secondary level. Ideal candidate would need a good level of computer expertise and/or willingness to learn and maintain such expertise. Additional certifications including the C.P.A. designation would be favorable.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Salary is commensurate with education and work experience in placement on state salary schedule. Benefits include paid state holidays, annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits package.

POSITION: Radiologic Technology Program Clinical Coordinator & Instructor

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Along with the Program Director, this full-time position will be responsible for the organization, administration, continuous review, planning, development, and general effectiveness of the Radiologic Technology diploma program. Must be willing to work flexible hours, handle multiple and competing priorities, and participate in appropriate staff development and campus activities. Candidate must work well in the classroom and supervising students in laboratory and clinical settings (working closely with clinical instructors off campus). Must be able to develop and evaluate lesson plans, direct and assess students’ progress in achieving required competencies, and handle administrative responsibilities related to scheduling and teaching of courses.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of bachelor’s degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university and radiologic technologist certification required; a Masters degree is preferred. Current ARRT certification is required. Minimum of three years of full-time, paid, current clinical experience in field and postsecondary teaching experience in a JRCERT accredited program are required. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
Computer experience; active participation in appropriate professional organizations; supervisory experience; and excellent human relations skills.

Southeastern Technical College (STC) is now accepting applications for Fall Quarter 2008 for a qualified instructor to teach on an adjunct basis during the morning hours.

Introduction to Microcomputers Instructor. Applicant(s) must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business or computer field with 18 semester hours or quarter equivalent in discipline. Professional experience with Office 2003 and/or Office 2007 required.

Evening Class

College Speech Instructor. Applicant(s) must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Communications or related with 18 semester hours or quarter equivalent in the discipline to be taught. Class meets once weekly for 10 weeks.
