Mission Statement

The Radiologic Technology Diploma program prepares students for positions in radiology departments, related businesses and industries. The curriculum encourages students to develop career, personal, and work ethic values. Program graduates receive a Radiologic Technology Diploma, have the qualifications of an entry level Radiologic Technologist, and will be eligible to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Program Goals

The graduate student will demonstrate problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills in the clinical setting which contribute to excellent standards of care for the patient.

Students will develop and apply professional ethics and/or characteristics of a healthcare practitioner which serve to promote professional development and life long learning.

The program will prepare students for vocational achievement by offering a comprehensive curriculum.

To provide the local health care community with entry-level
radiographers skilled in diagnostic radiologic sciences.

Accreditation

The Program is accredited on by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Accreditation was received April, 2005.
The minimum standards, by which a Radiography Program is evaluated by JRCERT, are published in the Standards for an Accredited Educational Program in Radiologic Science. Copies of The Standards are kept on file in the Programs Director’s office and may be inspected at any time.
