Southeastern Tech Swears in New Board Members
Southeastern Technical College announces the appointment of Sandra Kate Ellington and Dustin Durden to the Board of Directors.
STC swore in Sandra Kate Ellington, Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Meadows Regional Medical Center, as a new board member on August 23 in Swainsboro. Ellington was sworn in by Emanuel County Probate Judge Don Wilkes, former Chair of the Southeastern Technical College Board of Directors. Ellington previously served as a STC Foundation Trustee.
"It is with great pride that I accept the invitation to represent Toombs County on Southeastern Technical College's Board of Directors. In the healthcare sector, we value the power of partnerships. We depend on the caliber of students that STC produces. We, as an organization, are charged to provide our patients with the best care possible and we have found much success in the skilled graduates of STC,” said Ellington.
Dustin Durden was sworn in as a new board member on September 27 in Vidalia by Toombs County Probate Judge Larry Threlkeld. Durden is General Manager and Executive Vice President of Pineland Telephone Cooperative, Inc. He has a BBA in Finance and an MBA from Georgia Southern University.
“It is an honor to be Candler County’s representative on the Southeastern Tech Board. Having an educated workforce is vital to our long-term success as a region and Southeastern Tech is at the forefront to ensuring that. I look forward to working with the current board and staff,” said Durden.
Board members serve up to three three-year terms.
