Briggs and Stratton Meet with STC Students
April 11, 2018 – Last month, Briggs and Stratton visited students in the industrial programs at Southeastern Technical College (STC). The company advised the students on some of their options upon graduation and discussed how they can help them financially while still enrolled in school.
Briggs and Stratton was represented by Denise Batton, who discussed what the students could expect once they enter the workforce. One of the big factors she highlighted was the student's ability to do a little bit of everything in terms of skillset. Being able to work with electrical and mechanical systems is a big plus and knowing how to solve problems on their own was highly valued at their company.
Briggs and Stratton is a global company with operations in six continents. They produce over 8 million engines a year and have over 60 million engines being used around the world.
