Georgia Power Helps Light the Way to Success

June 21, 2017 – One of the many goals of Southeastern Technical College (STC) is to help all students graduate and go to work. The Southeastern Technical College Foundation (STCF) works to provide monetary aid in the form of scholarships to students who struggle with financial burdens.

The Foundation has made it possible for many struggling students to earn degrees and go on to find a successful career. The STCF has made it their goal to provide more than $40,000 in scholarships this year. With the help of local organizations donating to the Foundation, this goal has become a reality.

On Wednesday, June 14, 2017, Trayvon Leslie, Georgia Power Area Manager, presented the Foundation with a generous donation on behalf of the Southern Company. This donation will help students afford things such as: GED testing, supplies and equipment, or other items needed to complete a program.

“This gift will allow the Foundation to assist students in helping their dreams become a reality and, in turn provide our community with a stronger, better qualified workforce,” said STC Executive Director of Institutional Advancement Charla Nail.  “We greatly appreciate their generosity.”

For more information about donating to the Southeastern Technical College Foundation, please contact Charla Nail at (912)538-3133 or visit www.southeasterntech.edu.
