New Job Application System Unveiled for STC
July 8, 2013 - After updating their website at the beginning of the year, Southeastern Technical College has revamped its employment application system as well. Beginning July 1, those looking to work for the technical college will begin the process online.
Joining 19 other technical colleges in Georgia, Southeastern Tech’s new online application system consolidates much of the college’s employment process into one website.
“What initially prompted the shift to the online application system was the federal requirement to track and maintain demographic information on all applicants,” said Blythe Wilcox, director of human and auxiliary resources at STC. “The online system keeps this information confidential and allows us to quickly and easily pull reports containing this data.”
The change was a welcome one for STC’s human resources department, who knew the benefits of having a fully-online system
“There are many advantages to having an online application system, such as providing hiring managers with immediate access to view applications, having the ability to provide effective electronic correspondence with applicants, and more obviously, the reduction in the use of paper,” said Wilcox.
School officials encourage job seekers to check back often, as the new system will allow them to quickly post new openings and users, once they have created a profile on the site, to quickly apply to those positions.
