Practical Nursing Graduates Honored at STC - Swainsboro Ceremony
August 16, 2018 – The Practical Nursing program on the Swainsboro campus of Southeastern Technical College held a pinning ceremony for its summer 2018 graduates on August 1 in the Maurice Boatwright Auditorium.
The graduates were Yachi Garrett and Shikia Jones from Swainsboro, Sarah Harris from Bristol, Morgan Harrison from Kite, Ashlyn Johnson from Cobbtown, LeKisha Nesmith from Sylvania, McKayla Shuman from Millen, Morgan Slater from Vidalia, Lacey Waller from Soperton, and Rebecca Malott from Statesboro.
In her speech, Morgan Harrison said to her fellow graduates, “Each of you will go forward to make a change in the healthcare of this community or wherever you go. A wise man once told me that a mockingbird never sings the same song and he changes his mind and direction of life frequently. With this being said, I urge you to remember not to get in the rut of nursing that we often see.”
Graduates were awarded their pins by Kathy Holt and Brooke Marsh, STC’s Practical Nursing instructors.
