MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT
The Medical Office Assistant certificate program is designed to provide educational opportunities to individuals that will enable them to obtain knowledge and skills necessary to secure employment in a medical environment.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The Medical Office Assistant certificate program prepares students for entry-level employment as a receptionist in a physician’s office, hospital, clinic, or other related areas.
ADMISSIONS CRITERIA
- Submit a completed application and application fee;
- Be at least 16 years of age;
- Submit official high school transcript or GED transcript;
- Submit official college transcripts, if applicable;
- Meet the following assessment requirements:

MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT CURRICULUM
The standard curriculum for the Medical Office Assistant certificate program is designed for the quarter system. Students may enter the program during Fall and Spring quarters. The program can be completed within a student's ability to enroll in classes on a quarterly basis either day, evening or online. The certificate generally takes 2-3 quarters to complete. To graduate, students must earn a minimum of 28 credit hours.
