Snacks & Facts: Domestic Violence

April 15

Vidalia Campus, Building A, Tattnall Auditorium

12:00 – 1:00 PM

STC invites the student body to join an upcoming informational session on domestic violence awareness. Attending doesn’t mean you’ve been directly affected—it just means you care and want to be more informed of local resources that can make a difference. Domestic violence affects more people than we often realize. While our Criminal Justice and Nursing Programs train future professionals who will assist in these circumstances, this session is open to everyone.

Don’t forget to bring your student ID for lunch.

April 14-17: “What Were You Wearing” Display in Main Building Atrium

In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, The Refuge Sexual Assault Center has a display in Vidalia’s Building A Lobby titled “What Were You Wearing.” The purpose of the display is to raise awareness that a victim’s clothing is never their consent to sexual assault. Due to the sensitivity of the topic, this display can be overwhelming to some who observe it. Please be aware of the presence of the display.

If you have been a victim of sexual assault and would like to reach out for help, please contact The Refuge Crisis Line, available 24 hours a day at (912) 538-9935.
