Greater Vidalia Employment Fair 2021

Southeastern Technical College plays a vital role in career training & workforce development. The Toombs Co Development Authority & Greater Vidalia® Chamber support the business needs of the local employers. We are teaming up to provide an opportunity to connect businesses with local talent.

The Employment Fair will be hosted at Southeastern Technical College, Vidalia Campus, June 23, 9 am-2 pm.

Governor Kemp & GA Dept of Labor Commissioner Butler recently announced GA’s plan for reemployment & economic recovery. To address workforce shortages & boost a full economic recovery, state labor officials plan to end GA’s participation in federal pandemic unemployment programs, effective Saturday, June 26.

Georgia will no longer participate in the following federal programs:
• Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation • Pandemic Unemployment Assistance • Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation • Mixed Earner Unemployment Compensation

Once GA opts out of the federal programs, the GA Dept of Labor will continue offering regular state unemployment insurance benefits to eligible Georgians. The maximum weekly benefit in the state is $365.
