Graduation Application Deadline
STC Graduation Applications and final payments for the May 2026 Commencement Ceremony are due March 9, 2026. This includes graduates for Summer 2025, Fall 2025, and Spring 2026 terms.
Students must submit an STC Graduation Application to the Registrar’s Office even if they do not wish to participate in a ceremony. Access the STC Graduation Application through the MySTC portal.
Cap and Gown Orders
Caps and gowns MUST be ordered online from Herff Jones. The deadline for ordering is March 9, 2026.

Graduation Requirements
In order to be eligible for a degree, diploma, or technical certificate of credit, a student must meet the following requirements:
- Complete the required courses in the program of study for which you are applying to graduate, as prescribed by the course catalog specific to the term you were admitted. Students who have a break in enrollment of at least one term will be subject to the most current catalog guidelines.
- Be in good academic standing, have a graduation grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, and have a “C” in all courses that apply toward graduation.
- Complete a minimum of twenty-five percent (25%) of the coursework required for a program at Southeastern Technical College.
- Satisfy all financial obligations to the College and be free of any holds on the academic record.
- Complete an STC Graduation Application with the program advisor as the student registers for their last semester. Submit the form to the Registrar’s Office. Students with student loans must also meet with the Financial Aid Department.
- Students completing certificates, diplomas, and associate of applied science degrees with a graduation GPA of 3.75 or better will graduate with honors. Graduate candidates are listed in the program based on their graduation GPA at the time of the commencement ceremony. Due to the timing of the commencement ceremony, not all final grades are available for review.

All students must achieve Regular Program Admission status prior to applying for graduation. All eligible students are expected to participate in the ceremony. It is the student’s responsibility to submit an STC Graduation Application to the Registrar’s Office upon registration for the student’s final semester.
A $40 fee is charged to each student who applies to participate in a graduation ceremony. This fee defrays part of the student’s graduation expenses and is non-refundable. Graduates who do not wish to participate in a ceremony are charged $10 per credential. A $10 fee is charged for each cover requested. The replacement charge for a degree, diploma, or certificate is $25 per credential.
Graduations will be live-streamed via the STC Facebook Page so that friends and loved ones can watch.
Graduation Rehearsal
Thursday, May 7, 2026 – 3:00 PM, Vidalia Campus, Toombs Auditorium
Graduation rehearsal will be held in the Toombs Auditorium, Vidalia, Georgia. Graduate attendance is required, as we will discuss the lineup, processional, and additional graduation preparations at this time. Also, graduates will have a chance to familiarize themselves with the location, identify where they need to be, and address any last-minute concerns. This will ensure a smooth, organized ceremony.

Information for Guests
- Programs will be available at the door.
- Flash photography is not allowed during the ceremony.
- Applause should be held until all graduates have been called.
- Arrive early to ensure good seating. Doors will close promptly at 6:50 PM
