The deadline for graduation applications and payment to participate in the May 9, 2023 Graduation Ceremony is February 9, 2023.
Students need to see their advisors to obtain a graduation application and submit it to the Registrar’s Office. Click here to download the STC Graduation Application.
Students need to submit a graduation application even if they do not wish to participate in the ceremony.
In order to be eligible for a degree, diploma, or technical certificate of credit, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Graduation exercises are scheduled twice per year. All students must achieve Regular Program Admission status prior to applying for graduation. All students eligible for graduation are expected to participate in the ceremony. It is the student’s responsibility to complete an application for graduation. The application must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office upon registration for the final semester of classes.
A fee of $40 is charged to each student who applies for graduation and who wishes to participate in the graduation ceremony. This fee defrays part of the student’s graduation expenses and is non-refundable. Graduating degree, diploma, and technical certificate of credit students who do not wish to participate in the graduation ceremony or certificate ceremonies are charged a fee of $10 per credential. A $10 fee is charged for each cover requested. The replacement charge for a degree, diploma, or certificate is $25 per credential.
Graduation will be live-streamed via the STC Facebook page.
Graduates will receive a limited amount of tickets for guests to attend this Ceremony. ALL people entering an auditorium, regardless of age, MUST have a ticket.
As a reminder, this event will be broadcast live, so that all of your friends and loved ones can watch.
We are requesting that graduates take as many safety precautions as possible. You will be in the line-up area for approximately thirty minutes and then seated in the Toombs Auditorium for Graduation for approximately one hour. The use of masks is strongly encouraged.
Additionally, we encourage graduates to stress to family and friends that if anyone is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and/or is in an at-risk category for infection, they do not attend the Ceremony.
This is after a lot of thoughtful and deliberate consideration of the current COVID-19 situation. It is not our intent to disrupt your Graduation and your celebration plans, instead, it is an effort to make sure the event will still be held. We appreciate your cooperation and assistance as we make these changes. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Graduation Rehearsal will be held in the Toombs Auditorium, Vidalia, GA. Your attendance is required, as we will discuss the lineup, processional, and/or any additional graduation preparations at this time. Also, you will have a chance to familiarize yourself with the location, identify exactly where you need to be, and address any last-minute concerns. This will hopefully ensure an organized and smooth ceremony.
Please call (912) 538-3113 during normal business hours if you have questions or concerns, or email registrar@southeasterntech.edu.
