Welcome to the Georgia High School Equivalency (HSE) Program (formerly the GED Testing Program) where you can find everything you need to know about choosing a high school equivalency (HSE) pathway, taking your tests or enrolling in classes, and earning your high school equivalency (HSE) credential. There are now multiple options for achieving your high school equivalency. Two computer-based testing (CBT) pathways are available through testing centers or proctored at home: the GED® test or the HiSET® exam. The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is also piloting a workforce-based solution to an HSE through joint enrollment called Career Plus HSE.
Students 18 years and older should call or drop by the Adult Education Center in their community for enrollment information. The phone number and address for the centers can be found here.
Students 16 to 17 years of age should have an official withdrawal from their last school of attendance and a valid state-issued picture ID and should complete the Underage Application for Program Acceptance prior to enrollment.
